ABOUT ME: Hey im Staci Jett, im a nurse for the WWI French army. I may just be a nurse but i see all the danger a war causes. I have a husband named Alex and we've been married for a happily twelve years. He is actually fighting in the war. I just hope i never have to see him get hurt or killed. We have two kids named Lacienaga and Kristina. Their twins, and are 10 years old. Right now their staying with my family why me and Alex are in this war. DECEMBER 12TH, 1917 TODAY THERE WERE ALOT OF DEATHS AND INJURIES. MOST OF THE SOLDIERS WERE SHOT BY MACHINE GUNS. THE OTHERS WERE KILLED BY TANKS AND BOMBS ETC. ALOT OF MEN GOT DISCHARGED TODAY BECAUSE OF THERE INJURIES. THEY WERE TOO BAD TO CONTINUE IN BATTLE. WHICH FOR SOME IS DISAPPOINTING, BUT FOR OTHERS IS GOOD.
DECEMBER 19TH, 1917 TODAY THE HOSPITAL GOT BLOWN UP BY A BOMB. APPARENTLY IT WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE BATTLE FIELD. MULTIPLE NURSES AND DOCTORS WERE INJURED, BUT NONE WERE KILLED. SOLDIERS WERE INJURED EVEN MORE HAN BEFORE. SOME WERE EVEN KILLED. LUCKILY I WASNT THERE AT THAT POINT. I WAS BUSY RESCUING AN INJURED SOLDIER FROM THE BATTLE FIELD. BUT ITS SAD BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS THAT DIED THAT SHOULD HAVE LIVED. THIS IS GOING TO HAVE A BIG EFFECT ON THE SOLDIERS BECAUSE THEY WONT BE ABLE TO GET THE CARE THEY NEED CAUSE OUR DOCTORS AND NURSES ARE INJURED. WHAT WILL WE DO? DECEMBER 20TH, 1917ITS JUST A DAY AFTER THE BOMB EXPLOSION. EVERYTHING IS GOING OKAY I GUESS FOR NOW. WE HAVENT HAD MANY MORE SOLDIERS COME INTO INTENSIVE CARE SO THATS A PLUS. WE HAVENT HAD ANY MAJOR SURGERIES TO PREFORM. WELL SORRY BUT I HAVE TO GO BECAUSE WERE GETTING A PERSON SENT IN FOR SURGERY AND ITS VERY SERIOUS. HE WAS SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES AND IS ABOUT TO BLEED TO DEATH.
DECEMBER 24TH, 1917
CHRISTMAS:
Christmas is a hard time or soldiers. Normally we would be sitting with our family enjoying the holidays. But instead the soldiers are out fighting. I dont even get a break because im busy taking care of soldiers that are injured to try to get them back in the war as soon as possible. There has been alot of deaths today. More than usual.I think its because soldiers are thinking abut there loved ones and not paying attention to the war. Also, i think we shouldnt fight today. We should all ake a break and enjoy this day as much as possible. Later in the night we will get presents from each other. Its not much at all but its better than nothing. ITS FINALLY OVER!!!:
The war is finally over and i got to go home and see my kids and my husband. It feels weird to not be working on injured soldiers now. But i rather be here, at home, than seeing people die. The war may not of ended well but im just glad its over. Next time theres a war me and my husband arent going, were staying here with our family. The war was terrible. It reall wasnt a good experience at all. I think this war should have never started. But it what happened. As soon as i got home my family was waiting in our house to welcome me and Alex home. I was shocked. Its just great to finally be back.
